ORGANIC.
It all begins with an idea.
I want to welcome you to the new year, 2024. I hope whoever is reading this had a great start, whether you are planning or achieving your goals. But let’s see how you feel after the busy period. The Christmas and New Year’s celebrations, school holiday period and the Triple J Hottest 100 countdown. I know these celebrations were a fast transition of time, already being March! The events held in their respective months are something else.
I know these festive events are special with catching up with family, mates and loved ones but did you take the time to slow down for at least a minute? I will admit, that I always get lost in the festive season as a result of burning out. What I am trying to say is to have a goal in your mind to be conscious at least for a minute throughout your day because this will lead you to slow down. Have you heard of the monkey mind? This could occur when you know you must complete a task before going back to work, etc. It’s when your brain is full of emotions and thoughts that will be fuelled by fear. Or can simply be from the past or worrying about the future, what will happen if or what. So, making time for yourself to slow down will remove the mind to race and benefit your wellbeing.
I am not a health coach or philosopher, but the point of this blog is to teach you the things that I have experienced throughout my life, especially in my early twenties and to this day. I have been in a rut where I don’t know what to do by applying for that degree or job, moving away from my hometown and the big picture, what will I do as a career. That’s fine if you don’t know because hopefully, this blog will indicate you for a head start.
The willingness to overcome these challenges is by understanding yourself and what you want to pursue in life. I suggest for yourself is to take time to learn about yourself; What are your hobbies? As an inner child, what did you thrive in? Sit down and write those things down. You might not get the answer straight away, but you will find the right choice either days, months, or years. Even writing anything down will clear the mind and will give you a chance to breathe.
I have gone through a lot in the past year. I won’t go into detail; you can refer to my previous blogs. However, it has kept me hungry to be more desired in life through my well-being by being present or conscious of basic principles. These 6 basic principles include eating, drinking, movement, sleeping, breathing, and thinking. All these principles are a cheat code to life. Write down what you are consuming, drinking, how much movement are you getting, sleeping, breathing and what books are you reading. Once you’ve got your list, what things could be adjusted or better? Are you consuming processed foods and vegetable oils? What’s your alcohol intake? Are you moving your body at least 2-4 times a week? Are you sleeping 7-8 hours? Are you a mouth breather? Lastly, are you learning something new, daily?
What I have stated can be overwhelming but making slight changes throughout your life from these basic principles will change your life, physically and mentally. Start small and increase the habits, write down what feels good and doesn’t as it will allow you to learn about your body. The best way to meet these habits might look like this: Buy fresh organic produce and grass-fed items, drink filtered water and kombucha for pre-biotics, eliminate alcohol, head to a gym/yoga/pilate’s class a couple of times a week, sleep between seven to eight hours, be a nasal breather, and read a book per month or whatever. Creating these habits will become addictive as it will nourish your body and mind. It will eliminate the monkey mind and you’ll be more aware of your conscious mind. Bringing these principles to life will create discipline and will support you to think clearer, meet your 2024 goals and thrive.
Introducing these establishments to your life will eliminate depression, anxiety, and tight fascia and you will feel great, your body will be thriving through your organs and mind. It will increase your dopamine, endorphins and serotonin. See how you feel about taking action on your well-being. Leave me a message below on how you feel.
I hope you enjoyed it. Much love.
